It’s a topsy-turvy world but I’m currently living off of my blog and supporting my family with my blog income so I will forever be grateful for my Blog. As soon as you hit 30K sessions, apply for MediaVine. They pay much more! :D And try to branch out to more DIY topics, sell more artsy stuff on your Blog, and apply to Craftsy and other art related affiliate networks. You’ll make a good income!

I love that you give a lot of insights about how hard, but also rewarding this world of blogs can be. I started 3 blogs in the past, I gave up them, started another 4.
Now I can say I got a little hang of it since one of them is reaching 20k page views per month. But the income is still at 0 because I use only Adsense.
Thank you for these pieces of advice, because I think I am not monetizing these views as much as I could. I will try to learn as much as I can.
